Our Story

The legend of the source—and a family sanctuary in the Khuvsgul taiga.

The Auction

As Mongolia transitioned to capitalism, a local "Khatgal boy"—and future Member of Parliament—purchased a pioneer camp at auction. The price paid funded the province’s civil servants for a full year, cementing our investment in Khuvsgul's survival.

The Early Years

The Royal Ultimatum

Our reputation soon preceded our infrastructure. When a visiting Middle Eastern royal insisted on staying despite our lack of indoor plumbing, we didn't hesitate. In a true display of northern hustle, we constructed flush toilets and running water from scratch just in time to welcome him.

Conservation

We became a quiet retreat for global diplomats and established an on-site conservation program to protect the endangered Siberian musk deer.
